Libby P - “3 wonderful years at CWPS (and counting)!

The level of trust and confidence we have in CWPS is hard to describe. Child’s World is not just the most exceptional learning environment we could have dreamed of for our young children. It is also the community our family so longed for after moving from out of state during COVID. At CWPS, we left our 3-year-old son in the hands of capable, patient strangers for the first time in his life, and he flourished. His younger sister followed in his footsteps the next year, and our youngest child will follow suit when it’s her turn.

The amount of intangible support we receive each day simply walking through the Child’s World gates and seeing familiar faces is unparalleled. CWPS is a unique, intentionally-cultivated ecosystem of growth and development. Even the fruit trees and the vegetable gardens grow better at Child’s World compared to anywhere outside its walls. As an adult, I feel magic every day walking through the grounds, so I can’t imagine how magical it feels as a small human just entering a world of new independence. I often think about the “core memories” that my children will have of spending weeks constructing a moat around a tree trunk in the sandbox with their best buddies, or racing around on tricycles while decked out in random capes and costumes, or picking kumquats from the trees. There is so much attention to detail sprinkled

throughout, you can feel the genuine care that is taken to provide a safe space that still nurtures creativity and risky play. CWPS also prepares children for the world by affording them exposure to peers from a diverse set of cultural backgrounds and heritages. The global influence is rich and it’s an important part of the beautiful tapestry of learning that occurs there each day.

And then there’s the staff, which is peerless among a competitive preschool landscape in Irvine. Perhaps it’s the fact that CWPS has served its community for more than 50 years, or perhaps it’s just that greatness naturally attracts greatness. (Two things can be true). But suffice it to say that no one who works at Child’s World views it simply as a job. It is a calling, a profession, and a joy, and it is visible on the faces of everyone involved in running the school. The teachers are forever students of their craft, conferring with one another and outside experts to expand their knowledge about how to enrich the beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, and how to approach the various challenges that arise in the early childhood environment. Each child benefits from this mission of continuous learning.

I could go on and on (clearly). But in sum, we are forever grateful that we happened upon this treasure at the intersection of Culver and University,  and we know its spirit will live on in our hearts long after our children have all matriculated to Kindergarten.”

Brian A - “The teachers and the staff are absolutely fantastic! My wife and I have sent both our boys to Child's World Preschool and are huge advocates of their teaching style and playtime learning.  I love it so much that I find myself volunteering there often when they need help setting up events. From my very first visit to the school, the first thing I was amazed with was the playground. It is large and has all of the bells and whistles that one would expect in a playground and then there's a whole lot more. They grow strawberries, sugar snap peas, carrots, tomatoes and everything else you can imagine. The children are then encouraged to touch and learn all about them.  In addition, the playground toys change all the time and encourage children to experiment and learn about building using PVC pipes, water flow with water wheels, and all kinds of imagination learning toys.

The teachers and staff have become friends of ours. They are nurturing and caring to all of the children and have a fantastic philosophy of 'playtime learning'. My boys have learned so much from the teachers. Child's World Preschool will leave a lifelong lasting impression in all of our minds.

To top it off, it is one of the most reasonably priced preschools in the area. I highly recommend it to friends so I figured that I would take some time to let others know as well. If you are looking for a great preschool, be sure to include a tour to meet the staff at Child's World, you probably won’t look anywhere else.”

Laura W - “A wonderful start for any child and the best preschool in the area.  The teachers and staff love what they do and love the kids they teach.  They create a loving and safe environment for all children to learn, inside the classroom and out.  The play yard and garden are favorites for all of my children.  All 4 of my children have attended Child's World, with my 4th child in our last year at the school.  My 3 older children were well prepared socially, emotionally and academically for elementary school and I am sure my 4th will be as well. I will be very sad on our last day at Child's World, but so happy for all of the wonderful memories and people we have met through this fantastic school!”

Susan N - I have to say, this is the best preschool by far. I searched and searched until I found Child’s World. The teachers and the entire staff are so loving, caring, warmhearted, that as a parent you feel so safe to leave your child there. My son is 4 years old and  has separation anxiety. His teacher, and the staff worked with me and him for two weeks to get him ready so that he can feel comfortable being there without me. Their playground is unbelievable and their teaching technique is different from other schools. I would recommend you visit this school and see for yourself.”

Carolyn D - “Great nurturing environment!  Four of my children have attended Child's World over the past 8 years.  I have been nothing but pleased by the quality of the teachers and the warm, loving environment that my children experienced here. The small class size and experienced staff, including the excellent specialists - art, garden, movement, create an environment where my children loved to go and loved to learn.  My older three were well-prepared for kindergarten, academically as well as emotionally.  I can't say enough good things about the school and will be saddened when my last child moves on.”

Mdmommy: “Child's World Preschool was by far my first choice in Irvine after touring numerous other schools and we have been extremely happy there. Small classes of 12 children make a big difference at this age and the class is very experienced and stable--not high turnover here. They have an art center that is always open for the kids to do imaginative projects. I would highly recommend this school.”

Moore: “My children have been attending Child's World for five years now and I would not choose any other school.  The teachers are so loving and encouraging.  They go  the extra mile to make sure your child has an awesome experience at school. Child's World has such special things they do with students like the chicks they birth in the spring.  Both of my children were in the Pre-K class and I felt that has helped them tremendously in their transition to kindergarten.  This is our last year at Child's World and I feel very sad to leave.”

L. Drago: "I am proud to say that both my boys have attended Child's World Preschool. I cannot say enough about the staff. They are absolutely outstanding--professional, compassionate, and accommodating. Everything they do reflects their commitment and dedication to the children they serve. Preschool-age children are vulnerable in many ways, and so are their parents!”

A - “We want our kids to hit their cognitive milestones, learn how to socialize, get along, and be ready for the next stage of their journey. Every teacher I encountered at Child's World was happy to communicate with me about my child's progress, reassure me when needed, and support my child through their development and exploration. My youngest son will be finished with preschool in a few months and will go on to kindergarten in the fall. I can honestly say that the last day I pick him up and take him home from Child's World will be one of my saddest days as a mom. Child's World Preschool is a very special place because children know they are loved here.

Thank you, Child's World, for the pivotal role you have played in my children's lives. I will be forever grateful."
