Our Team — Child's World Preschool

TEACHERS

Our teachers are the heart of our program. They are mentors, collaborators, and passionate advocates for early childhood education. With years of experience and deep expertise in child development, they create a learning environment that is engaging, responsive, and meaningful.

They carefully observe, listen, and adapt, shaping learning experiences around children's interests. By fostering social-emotional growth, creativity, and critical thinking, they inspire curiosity and encourage exploration. Their dedication to best practices and commitment to each child’s development make them the foundation of everything we do.

Directors/Office administrators

Our administrative team brings years of experience and expertise in early childhood education, combined with a deep passion for providing the best practices in early learning. With an open-door policy, we foster a welcoming and accessible environment where families can easily ask questions and share concerns.

Executive Director

Mai Rihani-Meserlian

Mai’s journey into early childhood education began with her own parenting experiences and the search for the right preschool for her daughter. This journey, combined with extensive coursework in early childhood education and developmental philosophies, shaped her holistic, child-centered approach to education.

As the Executive Director of Child’s World Preschool, Mai is committed to fostering creativity, hands-on exploration, and developmentally appropriate practices. She believes in the inherent capabilities of children, the power of nature-infused learning, and the importance of building a strong, inclusive community.

Director of operations

Kelly Elsenheimer

Kelly’s passion for education began in elementary school, where she first dreamed of becoming a teacher. After high school, she gained hands-on experience working at a summer camp, confirming her calling in early childhood education.

As Director of Operations, she brings years of teaching and leadership experience, ensuring the school runs smoothly while supporting teachers, families, and staff.

Outside of work, Kelly is a mother of four and grandmother of three. She and her husband enjoy traveling and spending summers on their boat, cherishing time with family and the outdoors.
